The Aquatic Club of Ephrata Volunteer Policy
Parent volunteers are vital to the success of our swim season! We rely on our generous parent volunteers to run smooth, timely meets and to have a successful season. There are many positions for all meets that MUST be filled by our swim team families. Every family is expected to volunteer in some capacity at each meet throughout the season (at least 1 adult from each family should sign-up for 1job per home meet). There are over 50 volunteer jobs to fill at a home meet and approximately 20 to fill for away meets.
If you have younger children, we have jobs that you may able to do with your children. If your family is unable to volunteer due to extenuating circumstances, please contact a member of the ACE Board to discuss alternative ways that you can our support team.
In addition, each family is asked to donate one or more food items at our home meets. The proceeds raised from our food stand are used to benefit your swimmer(s) directly. These funds help to: purchase equipment and software to run our meets, fund team events, pay meet officials, purchase awards, and much more.
This year we are asking every swim team family to check that they have reviewed and agree to this policy as part of the registration process to ensure our volunteer needs are met throughout the season.
